Can you add photos after face processing? Yes.

A familiar worry: the gallery is ready, then one more camera card turns up. Do you have to process everything again?

The short answer

No. In FaceSort, newly uploaded photos enter the processing queue. Images already processed do not have to be processed again just because you added another one. The new photo becomes part of the event group and its detected faces can contribute to matching results when processing completes.

This is useful when photographers deliver in batches or guests add their own images after the event.

What the guest will see

If a guest has enrolled their face and has access to the group, a new likely match can appear in My photos after the upload is processed. The image also becomes part of All photos for members who can browse the collection. Processing is not necessarily instantaneous, so check the queue status before assuming a photo was missed.

As with the original set, blurry or partly hidden faces may not match as expected.

A sensible routine for late uploads

Add finished images to the existing event group, wait for the new items to finish processing, and review the people-and-sharing view. If you plan to send a public person-gallery link, inspect the updated matches.

The stable group link is the advantage here: you can keep the story growing without giving guests a new destination every time another photo arrives.

THE PRACTICAL TAKEAWAY

Keep using the same event group. A new upload is processed on its own, and its likely face matches can appear after the queue completes. Check the status and review updated person galleries before sharing them; the old photos do not need a full rerun.
